Tell your legislators!
As the only birth center in Georgia, we need your support – contact your legislator today… its easy!
We have Good News for Healthcare Reform. The Congressional Budget Office has evaluated the Birth Center Medicaid Reimbursement Act (HR 2358 and S 1423) and says:
It will SAVE at least $47 million over the next 10 Years!
If your Representatives and Senators are not co-sponsors of the Bill, you need to ACT NOW.
1) Meet or call the staff at your legislators’ district offices. Invite them to your birth center (or tell them you support yours).
2) Call their Washington, DC offices and ask to speak with their Health Legislative Assistant.
3) Tell them about our bill to add the birth center to Medicaid services. Let them know if they will co-sponsor and help pass this bill, that it will Save Healthcare Dollars!!
4) Make sure that the staff will commit to calling you back with an answer. If they will not co-sponsor-find out why.
This is a nonpartisan issue about the health of mothers and babies, access to care, and saving federal dollars. Let’s add as many co-sponsors as we can this month!
We are asking you to make your calls today!!

Jill, margaret, Gina, all of those ladies are WONDERFUL, I have just weened my son, he is 2 years old and can already count from 1 to 20, seriously! My husband and I am relieved that I made it through and it was because of a strong start by these strong women, I wish them all of the best and I love them with all of my heart, My stomach is flat and firm and my 6 pack is starting to show.. and its because they told me to start sit ups the day after giving birth and because i didn’t have a c section, i could do it! I am 20 pounds lighter than i was before i got pregnant and my classmates say that i look like i did in high school, I am so satisfied, and i recommend midwives to ANY woman who is looking for a birth experience that is the way that god intended. My son, is very intelligent and if the studies are correct, i already have proof that he is advanced in his intelligence, and no it was not easy, but, the satisfaction that i feel from giving birth on my own terms is priceless.
Also, my husband didn’t support me in the beginning for having an all natural birth, he had never heard of such in this day and time, but since he has experienced this, he fully supports me and seems to dislike those that have chosen the unnatural route, so i think that this whole experience has strengthened my marriage and given him even more of a reason to admire and adore me! Just a few thoughts for my ladies… Life is wonderful!
God bless,
-JS
